As cute as they look with a topknot, I personally don't do it unless were visiting or taking pictures. They really don't like it and seem to spend most there time doing everything possible to get it out which breaks there hair off, so to keep there hair out of there eyes I just cut a small area of hair between there eyes keeping it about 1/2 inch long, this helps the hair fall to the sides, keeping it out of there eyes.
If you prefer to have your Yorkie groomed by a groomer I just love a "Modified Schnouzer cut" on the Yorkies, it's soooo cute. But I personally don't cut there faces that short anymore.
